Nickel trading range for the day is 861.6-899. Nickel prices dropped as profit booking hit in the market as Shanghai Futures Exchange is closed for the Lunar New Year. Nickel ore output in the Philippines, dropped 6 percent last year as several mines were under maintenance or temporarily closed due to environmental issues.Thirteen of the country's 30 nickel mines had no output last year, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) said in a report.
